Some tough decisions will have to be made in the coming months, with issues such as the lack of English players playing in the Premier League dominating the agenda. But Dyke insists the Premier League and its brand must be protected.
‘In the future it’s quite possible we won’t have enough players qualified to play for England playing regularly at the highest level in this country,’ he added.
‘English football has a problem. We have to find a solution together without damaging the Premier League. Without a solution it is hard to see England challenging in the years ahead.’
